About Our Club
The Zonta Club of Melbourne on Yarra is a vibrant and sociable group of women who work together to empower women through service and advocacy, at a local and global level.
The club meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 7 pm. Our main venue is Amora Riverwalk Hotel in Bridge Road, Richmond where we have a one course meal, tea and coffee for $44. Our Award nights in March and August will be at a higher cost of $54. However, in June, July, and September we vary our venue. Zoom attendance can also be arranged. Please contact info@zontamelbourneonyarra.org.au for more information regarding venues.
Club members also join one of our four club committees – Service & Advocacy, Program & Public Relations, Membership, and Fundraising.
History
The Zonta Club of Melbourne on Yarra is the oldest Zonta Club in Australia. The club was chartered with 22 members on 24 May 1966. In August 2004, to reflect the transfer of the remaining members of the Zonta Club of Melbourne Yarra to the Club, the Club name was changed to the Zonta Club of Melbourne on Yarra Inc.
