About Our Club

The Zonta Club of Melbourne on Yarra is a vibrant and sociable group of women who work together to empower women through service and advocacy, at a local and global level.

The club meets for dinner once a month at the Amora Riverwalk Hotel at 649 Bridge Rd Richmond. Meetings take place on the second Thursday of each month except January (6:30 for 7.00pm start). Dinner includes two courses, tea or coffee.

Club members also join one of our four club committees – Service & Advocacy, Program & Public Relations, Membership, and Fundraising.

History
The Zonta Club of Melbourne on Yarra is the oldest Zonta Club in Australia. The club was chartered with 22 members on 24 May 1966. In August 2004, to reflect the transfer of the remaining members of the Zonta Club of Melbourne Yarra to the Club, the Club name was changed to the Zonta Club of Melbourne on Yarra Inc.
